Verify Customer Help product claims
Reviewed by Customer Help Product Support on July 23, 2026. Verified for release 2026.07.
Customer Help describes behavior that an administrator or customer can observe. Use this guide to reproduce a workflow and separate a saved setting from a confirmed customer-facing result. Illustrative examples explain the method; they are not customer case studies and do not claim traffic, rankings, revenue, response accuracy, or another business outcome.
What counts as evidence
Section titled “What counts as evidence”Use the strongest confirmation available for the claim being checked:
- Saved configuration confirms that Customer Help accepted the value. It does not by itself prove that a connected service displayed the change.
- Customer Help status such as Ready, Active, Complete, or a completed update identifies the state Customer Help has confirmed. A Pending, partial, failed, or review state is not equivalent.
- Customer-facing behavior confirms what a visitor can open, read, or use on the intended public page, website, language, brand, and location.
- Connected-service confirmation is required for a claim about Google or another destination outside the Customer Help page. That service controls its final display, moderation, and timing.
Record the business language, brand, location, starting status, action, observed result, and date. Change one bounded item at a time when possible so the result can be attributed to the intended action.
Reproducible workflow examples
Section titled “Reproducible workflow examples”Confirm a Google Business Profile update
Section titled “Confirm a Google Business Profile update”Start with the correct Google account connected and the intended location matched and marked Ready. Change one supported public value, such as the regular closing time, then review Recent listing updates until that location reaches a final result. Finally, open the intended Google profile and confirm the displayed value. A saved value or queued request alone does not prove that Google displayed it, and Customer Help does not guarantee when Google will apply an accepted change. See Connect and manage business listings and Configure weekly hours.
Confirm Chat on an approved website
Section titled “Confirm Chat on an approved website”Save the exact HTTPS origin, install the provided loader without blocking the rest of the page, and open the site at that origin in a fresh visitor session. Start one test conversation, select the intended location where required, and verify the configured online, offline, AI, or human handoff path. A preview confirms presentation but not installation on another website. An HTTP, wildcard, or different origin is not an equivalent test. See Configure Chat locations, coverage, and widgets.
Confirm an AI Training source
Section titled “Confirm an AI Training source”Add a supported document or one public HTTPS page, wait for Ready, review the captured content, assign only the intended brands, and explicitly publish it. Ask a narrow question whose answer appears in that source and verify the answer in the intended brand experience. A Ready source remains unavailable to customer answers until it is both assigned and published. A public page is a saved snapshot of one page and changes only after a manual refresh; it is not a continuous whole-site feed. See Configure AI and AI Training.
Confirm a public location page
Section titled “Confirm a public location page”Choose one active, non-archived location and verify its recognizable name, complete address, monitored phone and email, weekly hours, next valid holiday exception within 30 days, and configured directions or review actions. Open the direct location URL while signed out in each published language. Blank values should stay hidden, the primary language should use the unprefixed route, and the location identifier should stay unchanged when its displayed name changes. Coordinates, Google Place IDs, and service areas are not published by this workflow. See Manage locations, Configure holidays and special hours, and Manage brand pages.
Confirm a custom domain
Section titled “Confirm a custom domain”Keep using the standard Customer Help address while DNS or HTTPS is Pending. Follow the exact records shown, wait until the hostname is Active, open it with HTTPS, and confirm that it is the canonical address for its eligible public pages. Then confirm that the equivalent standard address opens the active custom-domain route. A visible DNS record alone does not prove HTTPS or canonical activation. See Connect a custom domain.
How public entity information is interpreted
Section titled “How public entity information is interpreted”A public brand page identifies its Organization with the saved brand or company name, canonical page, current public description, valid public logo, monitored company contact points, and valid official brand social-profile links that have complete URLs. A social handle without a valid public URL is not used as an identity reference.
A public location page identifies its LocalBusiness beneath that Organization. It can include the approved location name, address, monitored phone and email, regular hours, the next valid 30-day holiday exception, and safe directions or configured review actions. Review destinations are actions a customer can take; they are not treated as alternate identities for the location. Customer Help omits blank or invalid values and does not publish coordinates, Google Place IDs, or a service area through these pages.
Claims that require more evidence
Section titled “Claims that require more evidence”Do not convert an illustrative workflow into a customer result claim. A customer case study requires the customer’s approval, the measured starting period, the measured comparison period, the calculation method, relevant limitations, and a review date. Search position, traffic, calls, conversations, answer accuracy, reviews, and revenue depend on factors beyond a saved Customer Help setting.
Do not infer an integration from a logo, public link, uploaded document, or mention. Use only the current connections described in Listings, Chat Settings, AI Training, and Domains.
Review and maintenance
Section titled “Review and maintenance”Each Help article identifies the reviewing team, calendar review date, and verified product release. When a documented behavior changes, review the affected English and Spanish guidance, public product explanation, machine-readable article, structured page information, and release note together. The newest review label confirms when the guidance was checked; it does not guarantee that a connected service has no later change of its own.
