A holiday entry overrides the regular weekly schedule for one local calendar date. You can apply the same entry to several locations while each interprets the date in its own time zone.

## Holiday fields

| Field | Rules and consequence |
| --- | --- |
| **Pick a holiday** | Fills in a suggested date and translated name. Always verify the date for the business and region; suggestions are a starting point, not a legal calendar. |
| **Holiday date** | Required local calendar date. It applies according to each selected location's effective time zone, not the Administrator's profile zone. |
| **Location schedule** | Choose **Closed** to suppress regular hours or **Modified hours** to publish a special opening and closing range. This status overrides the ordinary weekday schedule for the date. |
| **Open** | Required start time when status is Modified hours. It is interpreted locally for each assigned location and is unused for a full closure. |
| **Close** | Required end time for Modified hours and must be later than Open. Overnight ranges are not supported in this entry. |
| **Holiday name** | Public label entered for each enabled business language. Use the name customers in that region will understand. |
| **Customer note** | Customer-visible explanation, such as a reopening date or service limitation. Missing secondary copy falls back to primary, so review every published language. |
| **Holiday phone** | Optional public number for that date. If a number is already filled in, confirm the saved number will actually be staffed during the exception. |

## Apply the holiday

**Location assignment** selects which current locations receive the holiday. Choose **All locations** or specific rows, then select **Apply holiday**. The action adds or replaces the relevant date only in each selected location and does not change unselected locations or their weekly schedules.

Review **Holiday updates already added** after saving. Keep only one intended entry for each location and date; update the existing entry instead of adding a conflicting one.

## What customers see

On the applicable date and in upcoming-holiday messaging, customers can see the localized name, closure or modified hours, note, and holiday phone where supported. The public location page selects the next valid exception within 30 days. Its customer-readable opening-hours information uses that same saved date, closure or modified status, and opening and closing times. Later saved holidays remain available for their dates but are not represented as the page's next-exception summary.

If a location is connected to Google and ready for updates, saving can also update its Google listing. Confirm the result in Listings.

## Permissions, billing, localization, and visibility

Only Administrators manage holidays. Holiday changes do not change billing. Enter names and notes for each published language; blank translations use the primary language. Each date follows the location's effective time zone, not the Administrator's profile time zone.

## Troubleshooting

- **Wrong date appears:** verify the saved date and location time zone; do not use the profile time zone to diagnose it.
- **Modified hours rejected:** provide both times with close later than open.
- **Wrong locations changed:** check the selected list before apply; update the affected location entries individually.
- **Public note uses another language:** enter and save that translation, or intentionally use the primary-language fallback.
- **Google is out of date:** open Listings and confirm the account is connected, the correct location is matched, and the latest update succeeded.
